Summary of the first six days

Day 6: Rode to Nhill today lots of trucks and it was so cold I got the shakes and needed to rug up on my first break to regain warmth, we decided that we'll leave at 6 instead of 5 to avoid the cold, got in round 11.30.

Day 5: Set off from Horsham to Kaniva, riding was pretty good, met the milk man in Nhill said he'd drove past me about 4 times, he reckoned Sarah had the easy job, got a couple of donations in Kaniva, off to the pub for dinner.

Day 4: Amanda drove Sarah out to swap driving duties with Jarrad so he could go back to Melbourne to have an operation on his hand.

Day 3: Set of at 5am and it was quite cold, riding conditions were great and I got into Horsham about 11am, Shirly from Horsham caravan park kindly let us have the night for free, had a great feed at the pub, Jazz had a chicken Parma and I got a black Angus.

Day 2: Set off at 5am, there was alot less wind today. We had two stops, one at 30ks and one at 40ks. Arrived at 11am in Ararat, some more Kakoda crew met us there for a bonvoyage, had tea in a nice camp kitchen.

Day 1: Left Mordialloc at 5am and was sent off by family, stopped off at the golf club, where Peter, Manager, Rob the Captain and some work buddies were waiting to send me off, then to Bacchus Marsh where we met my Kakoda Crew for a coffee and a muffin, friends Helen and Colin road with me along a very windy and hilly path to Ballan where we stopped for lunch and recieved our first on road donations, (10 bucks and a lunch) then to Ballarat where we set up for the night.
